FIND Global Summit 2026 to Bring 70+ Industry Voices to Bangkok for Three Days of Design, Hospitality and Cultural Discussions

BANGKOK, THAILAND – The FIND Global Summit 2026 will bring together more than 70 international industry voices for three days of discussions exploring the future of design, luxury hospitality, retail, culture and urban development in Asia. Taking place from 26–28 November 2026 at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center (QSNCC) in Bangkok, the summit will form part of FIND – Design Fair Asia 2026.

With a programme spanning architecture, interior design, hospitality, retail and cultural spaces, the summit aims to provide a platform for industry leaders to exchange perspectives on how design responds to changing consumer expectations, evolving business models and the region's increasingly diverse markets.

Among the programme highlights are four panel discussions featuring senior representatives from international hospitality design firms, architecture practices, retail developers and cultural organizations. The sessions will examine how regional identity, economic constraints, public spaces and cultural infrastructure are influencing the next generation of design across Asia.

Exploring the Future of Authentic Regional Design

The opening highlighted discussion, "Global Expertise, Local Soul: The Future of Authentic Regional Design," will take place on Thursday, 26 November, from 13:15 to 14:00.

Part of The Asian Design Authority programme, the panel will examine how luxury hospitality design can balance international expectations with local identity and cultural character.

Drawing on projects and professional experience across Indonesia, South Korea and Singapore, the discussion will challenge the assumption that luxury travellers universally prefer quiet, minimalist environments.

Instead, the speakers will explore how design can offer different experiences, from privacy and tranquillity to more stimulating environments, while incorporating wellness and longevity considerations.

The panel will feature Christin Castillo, Principal of HBA Indonesia; JoonSuk Suh, Managing Principal of HBA Seoul; and Sabine Beck, Partner at HBA. The discussion will be moderated by Thomas Meier, Design Director of HBA Bangkok.

For hospitality professionals, the discussion offers an opportunity to consider how regional understanding and guest preferences can influence the development of luxury hotels and resorts.

Designing Luxury Hospitality in a Changing Market

Another key discussion on Thursday, 26 November, will be "The Luxury of Constraint: Designing for a Changing Hospitality Market," scheduled from 16:00 to 16:45.

The session will explore how tighter project budgets, increasingly demanding brand standards, existing buildings and rising guest expectations are changing the way luxury hospitality environments are developed across Asia.

As hotel owners and operators face greater pressure to balance investment decisions with guest experience, design strategies are becoming increasingly important to long-term project value.

The panel will consider where design investment can make the greatest difference, how international hotel brand standards can accommodate local character, and whether working within limitations can produce more meaningful and distinctive hospitality environments.

The speakers include Stéphane Lombard, VP Design Luxury Asia Pacific at Accor; Alan Barr, Founder of greymatters; Francisco Nicolas, Design Director at Aedas Hospitality; and Lionel Teh, Creative Director of Architecture at WATG.

The session will be moderated by Sanjog Modgil, Managing Director – Asia Pacific at SNS Group Asia Pacific.

The discussion is particularly relevant to hotel developers, investors, owners, general managers and hospitality design professionals navigating changing development costs and evolving luxury market expectations.

Can Retail Design Shape the Next Cultural District?

On Friday, 27 November, from 11:25 to 12:10, the summit will turn its attention to retail development and urban culture with "Can Retail Design the Next Cultural District?"

The discussion will explore the changing role of shopping centres, where parks, performance spaces, rooftop gardens and cultural experiences are increasingly becoming part of the overall development concept.

Rather than functioning exclusively as commercial destinations, contemporary retail developments are increasingly expected to contribute to the wider social and cultural life of their surrounding communities.

However, the panel will also examine an important question: can privately developed commercial spaces genuinely create public life, or do they simply reproduce the appearance of public spaces?

The discussion will bring together Ian Hendricks, Creative Director at Central Pattana (CPN); Natalie Chelliah, Associate Director (Interior) at Concept i; and Anita Srisakulchawla, Founder and Creative Principal of asc interior.

Greg Condon, Strategic Consulting and Head of Retail & Hospitality at Cushman & Wakefield Services Thailand, will moderate the session.

For hotel and mixed-use property developers, the conversation will provide perspectives on how retail, leisure, hospitality and cultural experiences can contribute to the identity and commercial relevance of urban destinations.

Culture as Infrastructure: Designing Spaces That Shape Cities

The fourth highlighted panel, "Culture as Infrastructure: Designing Cultural Spaces That Shape the City," will take place on Friday, 27 November, from 15:15 to 16:00.

The discussion will consider how museums, galleries and art spaces can become integral elements of a city's long-term development rather than simply standalone visitor attractions.

Bringing together architectural and cultural perspectives, the panel will compare established museum models with more experimental and independent creative spaces.

It will also examine what is required to ensure that cultural destinations remain relevant and sustainable beyond their initial opening and contribute meaningfully to the communities around them.

The speakers will include Stefano Rabolli Pansera, Founder and Architect of Bangkok Kunsthalle / Khao Yai Art Forest; Ermanno Cirillo, Co-Founder and Principal Architect of ENARI Architects; and Keat Ong, Founder of Keat Ong Design (KOD).

The session will be moderated by Suneet Zishan Langar, Director Editorial at Epistle.

The discussion is relevant to developers, architects, hospitality operators and destination planners considering the relationship between cultural programming, architecture and urban identity.

A Platform for Asia's Design and Hospitality Industries

With more than 70 speakers participating across three days, FIND Global Summit 2026 will provide a platform for professionals across hospitality, architecture, interior design, retail and cultural development to exchange ideas and examine emerging industry priorities.

For the hospitality sector, the programme's focus on authentic regional design, luxury market expectations, investment constraints and cultural destinations reflects several important considerations shaping hotel and resort development across Asia.

As destinations compete through increasingly differentiated guest experiences, the relationship between design, local identity, wellness, commercial performance and cultural relevance continues to attract attention from hotel owners, operators and investors.

The summit's inclusion within FIND – Design Fair Asia also connects these discussions to the wider regional design industry, creating opportunities for professionals to explore perspectives beyond their individual sectors.
