“ITB India 2026 has once again demonstrated the strong interest in India and South Asia as important growth markets for the global travel industry. One of the strongest pieces of feedback we received this year was the quality of the conversations taking place across the show floor. Exhibitors and qualified buyers came with clear business objectives, leading to focused discussions, new connections and opportunities for future partnerships,” said Darren Seah, Executive Director, Messe Berlin Asia Pacific. “The strong international participation further reflects the confidence in these markets, while the ITB India Conference, Cruise Capsule and inaugural Leadership Roundtable created additional opportunities for industry exchange and dialogue. We are pleased with the momentum of this year’s edition and look forward to building on it in 2027.”

New formats expand industry dialogue at ITB India 2026

Making its debut this year, the ITB India Leadership Roundtable, held in partnership with global strategy consultancy Simon-Kucher, brought together senior decision-makers from tourism, hospitality, travel technology, investment, destinations and government for a closed-door strategic exchange.

Discussions examined India’s evolving role in global tourism, with a focus on traveller segmentation, destination competitiveness, connectivity and the changing ways travellers discover and plan their journeys. Participants also considered how destinations can better understand India’s diverse traveller segments and position themselves to capture the next phase of growth.

The Cruise Capsule also returned for its second edition, bringing together cruise experts, travel trade leaders and MICE specialists for a dedicated programme focused on the opportunities and developments shaping India’s cruise market. Discussions covered topics including cruise tourism and MICE at sea.

Across four curated tracks – Knowledge, MICE & Corporate, Travel Technology and Experiential Travel – the programme featured 40 sessions and 80 speakers across 1,440 minutes of content addressing developments across MICE, Corporate Travel, Hospitality, Travel Technology and evolving traveller expectations.

Speakers and industry representatives included senior leaders from Accenture Technology, BCD Meetings & Events, Cipla, Deloitte India, Expedia Group, FCM Meetings & Events, IDECK Limited, MakeMyTrip, QuadLabs, Spotnana, Taj Hotels, Tripadvisor and Tripjack, among others.

Networking continued beyond scheduled business meetings and conference sessions. The ITB India Happy Hour on the first day gave exhibitors, buyers and industry professionals an informal setting to continue conversations from the show floor. Further networking opportunities followed the Cruise Capsule, connecting the cruise and MICE communities.

Following the conclusion of its fourth in-person edition, ITB India is already looking ahead to 2027, strengthening its role as a focused B2B platform connecting the international travel industry with the Indian and South Asian markets.
